I wondered if they could perhaps have rowed overnight, when the wind has been much lighter and there is almost permanent light up, here, and anchored / slept during the day when the Indy were stronger

MUCH better day for them today after lots of foul weather. they have crossed the Forth Estuary today and still going making steady progress.

The uk seems to have fared better than the rest of Europe. Hail stones as big as golf balls and widespread flooding .

Just passed Hartlepool now, looks like they have stopped for a break again.

Wind is going to turn to the south so not being kind to them at the moment.

I would like to sail out to them and give them a wave when they come my way.I don't have Facebook so wondering if this would be ok and not an irritant.

I am sure they would welcome a wave but don't offer them food, they are trying to be self sufficient.

Quite along way off by the look of it; MarineTraffic would suggest about 4 miles offshore anchored in 15 metres-ish in a fresh Northerly. Not very pleasant I would imagine.
