Anyone else think that this reality show thing is flogging a dead horse?

BTW, Chris Serle did the fastnet in the 80's in the original In at the Deep End, on True Brit, so it's kind of been done before, although not in the attention span/ lifetime of most media types.

Could get RKJ and a host of other serious racing sailors on board, so to speak, as talking heads - raising their profile would be no bad thing, and we've got a way to go before they enjoy the same (deserving) level of recognition that their counterparts in France get.

I now own 'True-Brit' Sigma 36 of the 'In At The Deep End' with Chris Serle fame, she has just undergone a 15 month total refit (inside & out, everything!) it would be great to find out any history concerning her......

Dug up from the Past= Tony and the Time Team Experts, trenching their way to the Fastnet, with St Tom Cunliffe as Skipper, so they can walk on water.

I'd offer my services as his Navigator as I have my own astrolabe and sun compass, but my beard is not as 'old salty' looking as SeaRush, and my warrant is to fly a defaced Red Ensign, so cannot mix socially with these nouveaux 'Blue' johnnies.
Besides,actually being paid for sailing, just like our Paid Hand sleeping in the chain locker for'ard, how fwightfully 'Twade', Dylan.

Must go now, as the whole chorus line of the Folies has just arrived from 'gay Paree', and I have a garter inspection to perform

I may be wrong, but I seem to remember True Brit being part of Britannia School of Sailing; if the set-up I'm thinking of, I saw her in late 1992 with a very good lady skipper / instructor on board and a great graphic of a stylised ensign / Union Jack on the transom ( of the boat ).

I hate reality shows. Put a bunch of anoying people in a Maze and Experiment on the Rats. celebrities make even more anoying rats. and for some reason Ive never heard of them.

I does occur to me getting the opertunity to voice my rather old salty opinions to some celebraties could be fun.
unfortunatly id probabaly get voted off the boat PDQ.
