Mildew on fabric

Any suggestions for removing mildew from upholstery? Have tried various things including Dabitoff and other cleaners. A specific mildew remover made by Starbrite states categorically that it is unsuitable for fabrics!

Re: Shocked and stunned

Dunno never tried. PBO must keep the ball rolling otherwise they will get stuck in a time warp. Soltron was yesterdays news for them.

Take the covers off, they should unzip, have them dry cleaned and don't put them back on til next season.

If in the cabin, wipe it off with a dry cloth, or damp if you have to.

Then use a dehumidifier on a time clock, with it set to be on for, say, 20 hours a day. The water collected should be piped directly into the sink to drain overboard - not into the bilge.
