I think that the mimicking of other's spelling traits can only point to one person. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif/forums/images/icons/wink.gif

You seem to have an awfull lot of opinions for a newby with 11 posts to your credit. Most of them boringly about spelling.

You are correct, I have made a couple of spelling goofs
When I first joined the forum I was slated for looking for an all female crew-which I now have. Does anybody ever get this thing right?
At least we all have fun

I've always assumed she was pukka - but p'raps I'm just incredibly naive.

Further evidence: Powerskipper's boat is called Brigadoon, of which there are several on the MARS database. There ain't no Jumpingjackflashes registered, whether separate or as one long word.

No further questions M'Lud

Re:re-hlb

We had these spelling topics come up Harrrys years ago. It was understood then. If we had to sit here with dictionary and proof reader. We'd give up and not bother. Besides. I've spent that long spelling words wrongly on here for the fun of it. I no longer know right from wrong!!

What !!

"Besides. I've spent that long spelling words wrongly on here for the fun of it. I no longer know right from wrong''

'Haydn , art thou Pinnocio by another name?'. As someone else who believes that spelling competence is inversely proportional to alcohol consumption I can not believe you wrote that, as i recall someone wrote that your invisible writing period was some of your most eloquent prose to date. ( I know pots and kettles come to mind). But same rule would apply , how can IPC do virtual breath tests ?

Totally agree though, as someone else who invariably types as he thinks (i.e. disjointedly) this forum would be sadly empty if it was a pre-requisite to type , spell and be gramatically correct.

P.S. My best excuse yet is that sometimes I use the missus' French keyboard with all the characters in the wrong place. Be thankful she isn't Greek.

D12 engines

Axshully I'm not sure Wiggo. They are 715hp now, but a number of 2002 boats are listed with 700hp D12s. I need to understand this, as I'm looking at 2002 boats with these engines. Are you sure they have always been 715hp, in which case people who quote 700hp must be doing it in error?

Re: D12 engines

It's good enough for a conviction in my books. Mistake it may be, but I've had men flogged for less...
