    Bavaria 42-16.5K

They have to be joking! On what planet would anyone 'buy it now' for £16,200? Surely they have the decimal point wrong, £16.20 might be nearer the mark.

    Typical towing weight

Towing I used to have a Dockrell 17 and that had an all up towing weight of 1100kg. The trailer cost me more to maintain than the boat did! If you are still stuck I have a Vivaro van that is more than capable of towing most trailer sailers.

New Kid on the block The jacket that really impressed me at the boat show was the new team o jacket. www.teamomarine.com This must be a game changer.

    Lost my License (VHF)

VHF/SRC How long ago was it since you attended the course? If you can remember who you took the course with and contact them, most of us radio instructors keep a record of who passed what and when. Other than that, RYA certification department may be able to help.

    Beta engine quality drop?

Kubota I would not have any hesitation fitting one of these units. In the twenty odd years I worked with Kubota I never had cause to strip one down. Mitsubishi, however, was another matter.

Broken throttle lever ... repair ?? (NB)

Repair or replace? What engine is it off? Looks like a typical lawn mower engine part to me like a Briggs or a Tecumseh.

    Bring Back Small 2-strokes capaign!

two stroke v four stroke I am with Dylan on this. The only reason a lot of Seagulls are still around in my view is because they are 100 year old technology and most people get fed with them, and stick them in a shed or worse, take them to a boat jumble and flog them to some unsuspecting newbie...

    Ideal spot for a marina?

Well, I'll take that a a unanimous NO then? I have anchored there a couple of years ago on Tao, a Jeanneau 45 with no problems entering or exiting the bay, but only stopped for lunch. That weekend was almost exactly the same weather as last week, F4-5 East or North East so we had a quiet and...

    Charterers Tool Kit

Chartering toolkit I thoughly agree with the above, if yoou find that there is not a basic toolkit on board you should be demanding one, better still find a charter company that does supply what is essential to a safe charter. Maybe the moral of that story is check the boats itinerary before...
