Fireball’s post also got us thinking, and we have changed the mechanism so that the seminar ticket can now be added to any purchase at the time of checkout.

Thank you ...
Perhaps you should consider a video linkup or record extracts to replay for those who are interested but not £5 interested... or £21 interested if they've got "free" tickets from somewhere else....

As a suggestion you could do a seminar on the second Saturday for those who may be interested in "Start to Sail" instead of the racing one.
I'm specifically thinking of you targeting the 'Outdoor Activity Show' visitors.
There could be a reciprocal seminar for those interested in none sailing outdoor activities.

Pathetic; I used to race against a single handed chain smoker who rolled his own and could get through three fags on each leg,(they burned away quite fast), he was far from the fastest but no one could match his dexterity.

I was a tongue in cheek comment, hopefully raising the odd smile. However, after 45 years of motorcycle racing before we took up sailing neither my wife and I can get exited about yacht racing. Cruising suits us fine.

So was mine, the adjective did not refer to you but to your excuse, I am disappointed to have to explain myself, but Jimmy does exist though I am not sure if he still smokes roll ups, he is cruising round the world somewhere last I heard.
I was into road and grass track racing before my wife and family intervened but I think if you had persevered with the yacht racing you might possibly have discovered a wee bit of competitive excitement at sea too.

Hi, I was not aware I made an excuse. I was a statement, and tongue in cheek at that. After doing 150mph plus in the Isle of Man 6 knts around a race marker is never going to give the same buzz as keeping the throttle wide through Bagaroo bottom. THATS when you discover adrenaline is brown.............

You've obviously never tried coming into the bottom mark with the kite pulling like a train and half a dozen other boats around you and only a few feet away.

No, but I've banged handlebars with world champions on REALLY fast circuits on the closed roads in Ireland and ridden four abreast into the first turn at speedway touching both the guy on the outside and inside. After 45 years of motorcycle racing my racing of any kind is done. As I said, cruising suits me fine!
