It would be easy to do it in 4 days stopping at Arklow, Kilmore Quay, Dungarvan. They all have small marinas but there are several other stopover places if the weather turns bad, Wicklow, Dunmore East, Ballycotton, Helvic etc. You could do it quicker but be prepared for some long days sailing.

Johnboy,

Breaking the trip down:

Dublin to Arklow:______________38nM_________7 hours
Arklow to Kilmore Quay:________50nM________10 hours
Kilmore Quay to Crosshaven:____70nm________14 hours
Crosshaven to Kinsale:_________16nm_________3 hours
Kinsale to Baltimore:___________38nm_________8 hours

Total:_______________________212nm________42 hours

Make sure you have the time to let the tides and the weather assist you. Also be sure to have some experienced people with you - maybe 2 crew. PM me if I can help with any details. The URL below has lots of the relevant info.

We did this in an Albin Vega (27ft and a good bit faster I suspect) last Summer as part of our trip round Ireland. Some detail (interspersed with anecdotes and irrelevancies) HERE for what it's worth.
