Bought another boat.

Just a tip…if it bothers you…the led strip reflection showing each led can be solved by buying COB led strips. It’s basically a continuous affair so no individual leds visable

It hasn't gone on Ebay. In fact Its now pretty much finished. Still haven't fitted the curtains and made the bed up etc because winter is here. They will just get damp over the winter. However I have been busy. Modified a mattress for the main bed. Bought a memory foam one from Amazon in a vacuum packed roll. Really easy to do, Just have to resist opening it at home, and unpack it on the boat when it's in the right place (ish) then cut the plastic bag open. After three days - Voila a king size and very comfy mattress ready to be made to the usual boat size and shape with a bread knife. I then modified the original zip on cover to fit (well nearly, its close enough)

Also sorted the sofa bed in the lounge. Bought one in the sale from Jysk. It comes in three boxes so can be manhandled onto the boat pontoon etc.
A bit too big and I didn't like the arms. And It wouldn't actually fit! But no problem, the Singer sewing machine and a circular saw sorted that out! Pulled all the staples out of the upholstery and effectively "unpeeled" the relevant bits back to the wooden frame etc. Bit scary at first but it was pretty easy to do.

I have some pics but Imgur has been shut down in the UK so looking for a new picture hosting site. Suggestions welcome

This week it has been engine servicing. So the very ancient cambelts have gone, new oil etc and they now start on the button - well key.
I will post some pics in the Spring when all the cushions and curtains are on board of the finished boat.
What did it all cost??????
When I bought it I had it surveyed and the surveyor estimated it would be worth about £6K more if the interior was in proper condition etc. Which is lucky as the bill for all the bits, glue, foam backed vinyl, wrap, paint, etc was £6,200.
Fun fact! I also got through about 2300 stainless steel staples.

Or open the photo, tap on the picture of a pen at the bottom of the page making it outlined with a white box. Then click on the three white dots in the top right hand corner, then tap on "Resize" choose your % resize, (40%) is fine for here.

Be aware, you will be permanently changing the size and quality of that image.

Sofa on board with striped back and modified arms. MrsA pointed out I needed to leave a gap at the window end for the curtains to slide back into. Good point, hadn't thought of that.

The finished sofa with reupholstered arms and shortened chaise bit. Had to do the upper piece first as it is fully sprung so can only modified it in multiples of the round internal springs. Removed two rows of springs which fortunately is about bob on. Then did the base section which is just MDF to fit.
