Anyone planning to sail to Cowes from Portland or Weymouth? If so, when? If I can go I'll be SH so wouldn't mind sailing in company.

Damn it :( I'm bringing a boat back from SIBS to Portland, was supposed to be on Mon / Tues but I might have to do it on Saturday now. Going to play it by ear and see how things pan out. Hopefully I'll be able to join the party somewhere along the way. We shall see...

Hmmm... All looking a bit sketchy at the moment for a SH crossing on Friday or Saturday and return on Sunday. Will keep an eye on the weather and make a last minute decision on whether I come or not.

I'm going on a week's cruise of the Channel Islands soon. I'm going in my RM880 which has twin keels and can take the ground. Rough plan is Portland - Alderney - Jersey - Les Ecrehous - Guernsey - Herm - Portland. I want to take advantage of the ability to dry out anyone got any suggestions...

Often overlooked in the boot debate is the question of what socks to wear with them. Sealskinz goretex are brilliant and keep your feet dry and warm in pretty much any boot. (No association btw)

I did a delivery of a Dufour 385 from Gosport to Kiel via Ramsgate, Roompot, Ijmuiden and a stop overnight at a stopping place on the canal. Done in manageable day sails.

I'll probably be working at it, that's all. Hopefully I can get the last weekend off.
