The marina has replied, and all is fine with them for the weekend 22/23 September. Just waiting to hear back from "L'Equipage" (the yacht club restaurant).

With Serendipity coming to the Solent in the next few weeks, I was thinking I might finally get to a Cherbourg meet. Sadly, the 23rd is the 60th birthday party for a village hall I have the care of and I can't miss that party. I know which party I'd rather be at...
