What interests me is it seems they use divers to position keel chocks and supports while the boat is afloat: must be a bit tricky. See the youtube vids. Obviously some boats can just sit on the deck, but some will need a bit more care. And they have to float tomorrow and land again.

Documentary about a sister ship. Difficult work for the divers, trying to get the boats down on the keels before they start to chock the hulls, then a container ship comes by, and the danger is it sucks the water out under the ship and everything floats.

What a faff.

Why did not they simply build the ship with a big boat lift like overhead gantry on rails like you see in a container port. They can have rail extensions which fold along the side of the ship so they can pick up a 200 ft yacht and place it directly on to the chocks inside the boat without all this faffing about flooding/sinking the ship and then floating it up.
