How do I remove the odd-looking circlips which are preventing me getting at the workings of my Lewmar winches? They look like split circles with plain ends overlapping. Thanks in advance.

If its what I think they are, get an electrical screwdriver under one end, they will lever off, but be very careful not to lever it overboard....

You could also try the Lewmar website. (via Google)
