I don't! Only to you lot of course, but I know you can take it and you deserve a good slaggin' now and again! IMHO of course tee hee. I'll brin g some mbiccies for the dogs, so as to make friends! I'll have em' takin' you off at the knees in no time! Good with animals me, they seem to recognise one of their own!!! Maybe it's the smell!

There are usually a lot of boats for sale on Windermere of all makes. Best advice I can give is to get what you can in the best condition for the price regardless of make. To be honest, when it comes to a used boat, it's a lot more important how well the previous owner looked after and maintained it than what's written on the side. A badly maintained Sealine is going to give you more problems than a well maintained Bayliner and vice versa.

In my own experience after several months looking, I got a well looked after 1990 Bayliner and couldn't get anything like the size, space and condition for the money in any other make. I believe there were problems in the older models up to around mid eighties, but since then no more than any other boat. There's a certain snob value in knocking Bayliners, and some of the fittings may be not be top of the line but they're pretty good and I'd rather pocket the extra few grand and customise things if I want to and still have change.

My 1991 Bayliner seems to work OK on the Irish sea so they can't be all that bad and agree that the best way to find a boat is to look at everything you can, decide what features you think you want then go and find the best fit for the price. But I think you will find that no matter what you think you need your priorities will change when you actually have a boat, just ask BarryD - he knows.
