Water Festival

Is anyone going to the river / water festival in Reading this Saturday.
I was gonna go and take a look...
Just wondered if anyone had been and could tell me what to expect.
I'm gonna take the boat to Tesco's on the Thames and walk round the corner to the K&A and check out the fest.

Have Tesco got a landing stage? How civilised. What's the K&A, I've only lived here 15 years and didn't even know there was a festival.

Yes mate Tesco have a smallish landing stage (big enough for about 4-5 narrowboats) but there are areas either side where you can moor. Are you gonna pop down?
The K&A is the Kennet and Avon Canal and runs from Tesco through the Oracle under Duke St. Bridge and then down rose kiln lane before going out through southcote.

By land maybe, I'm trying to think where Tesco is? I know the bit through the Oracle, is it back towards the gaol or down towards Rose Kiln lane? I only ask because you say the festival is next door.

If you are at the Oracle, Tesco is away from Rosekiln Lane.
They are in kings meadow, by Cooper cars the BMW dealer.
Do you know where Nurdin and Peacock used to be? Tesco is just passed there.
If you come down Caversham road from the IDR turn right at the roundabout after the post office (into Vastern Rd) at the end go straight across (Cooper cars will be on your right) follow that road right to the end and there is Tesco. Go to the back of the car park walk through to the towpath and there we all are. Turn right and the K&A comes up on your right.
Either that or just go into town and catch up with the festival there.
