Terrible news, he seemed such a plucky guy, I opened this thread tonight with such enthusiasm.

Whilst I never had anything to do with him other than this thread, what a shock!!

Thoughts with his family and friends.

EDIT: Just read the thread, he was found and subsequently died.

I must be missing something. It reads as through the boat has been missing with a dead body on it since July? It can't have been drifting all that time, I guess?

So did he pick up a mooring/anchor and nobody noticed until recently?

Sounds like a pretty good ending to me - Bill dies with his boots on, and not in a care home or armchair. Good for him . I hope I go the same way.
