I am thinking of booking a charter in the Ionian next year. This company, Corfu Yacht Charter has been suggested to me, has any body any experience of them?

I went Sailing Holidays 3 years ago. Reasonable prices and very well organised. Gooseneck parted one afternoon. Complete new boom supplied the next morning and fitted. Outstanding service. Great fun.

Look for Artemis sailing, they are in Gouvia Corfu. Older boats smaller company cheaper prices. Same location, excellent sailing. But if you don't mind paying a little extra Sailing Holidays are very good. If you use Sunsail they will do everything including flights, but at a price, They are based in the inland sea at Vounaki which is south ionian and again great sailing. Good luck with your choice.

Yes have to agree with you there Sue & Howard looked after me well. I chartered the Westerly Seahawk and a lovely beamy spacious boat she is too. The wifes first time sailing with me on our own, /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif the fact that the boat had hot water in the morning I think sold this kind of holiday to her /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Depends where you want to start from really. If you are happy starting from Corfu then give Artemis a try. If you are after a larger boat try Robin Heath - www.ionianyachtcharter.com - he has a nice Bav 41 called Suki (2003)

However if you would rather start further south from Lefkas island, then you should try Nisos Yacht Charter - www.nisosyachtcharter.com or sailionian - both are smaller operators (not agents) who have very good quality boats and a very personal service.

hope this helps.
