I hope you guys are getting ready to be shocked, upset and sorry for the hundreds, possible thousands, of people who will die in an attack against Afghanistan or any other country the US has "reasonable suspicion" of being involved.

The tragedy is the loss of life involved, irrespective of nationality. Have we had enough time now since the shock of the attack to start to realise that it isn't so simple, to quote President Bush, as "This is a war between Good and Evil". Pakistan have pretty well been blackmailed into cooperating in the bombing of a neighbouring country, whether they like it or not.

There will be enormous casualties amongst innocent civillians in Afghanistan, most of whom are oppressed by their government anyway, whilst the Taleban officials hide safely away in bomb shelters. I hope we'll be holding three-minute silences for them when the time comes.
