I agree with Stewart0000 a Jag 27 is good value for 2 people. We have been with Sailing Holidays quite a few times with no complaints and have booked for September this year as August is SO SO hot.
Tested our new plotter yesterday trying to get back to Woodbridge from Walton on Naze. Fog very bad, chickenend out from going over shipping lanes, but Mr Garmin worked brilliantly getting to & from Pye Bouy.
Kastos is a must, beware going in of the wind coming down the hills, then if in Corfu marina try the little cocktail /coffe bar just above it. Enjoy, we did
Hi Were were on Kyson today 3pm. Your boat was just afloat didnt look as though it had been over. As it is neeps at the moment should be OK untill next week when it will be springs.
We went with Sailing Holidays this Oct for 1 week for our 40th anv. It was fantastic. weather great, could swim and the area was not crowded so had no problem mooring. I think we could have chosen the right week as everyone told us they had rain for the two week prev. Go for it.
Re: Mast removal
Thank you every one for comments, we are still at the planning stage but hope to join canal system in April 09. Grehan, your site is really helpfull, we also enjoy walking!
Has anyone had their mast taken down in Dunkerque? Were there any problems or would Calis be more user friendly?
We are thinking around April 09. We also will want it transported. Thanks
