This maximum draft - what exactly does it mean? Is it that 2m is left in the marina once the tide has gone out, or is it how much is over the sill at say MHWS?

I expect it is 2m left when the tide has gone out as we are concerned that the RN Patrol Boat that usually comes with us won't be able to berth inside the Bassin de l'Ouest this year.

What I am interested to know is depth over the sill. I assume there is a guage now so that you can check the depth at the various road bridge openings.

A friend is over there now checking this out for our end of May Calais Rally. As I hear anymore I will post.

I would guess that it means that on the 1st and last bridge opening there is a max depth of 2m over the still. On the other 3 opening you will have the tide hight as well.
