Does anyone know of where I could buy a generic type tiller chain fitting like the one used on the Windpilots? Before I fire an E-mail off to Germany.

Agreed but I don't really want to butcher my lovely tiller a couple of allen pins, but I've had an email back and the bracket chain and screws are €80 so even though it look nice I can find another way or stick with what I've got without spending that sort of cash.

Agreed, I'm not sure I have the time, skill or machinery to be able to make something that I would be happy with out of metal. I may be able to make something out of hardwood that would complement the nicest piece of wood on the boat but I was hoping someone may say they were used for x or y and you could pick them up for a few quid.

Good shout, I would really like to upgrade the Navik to a Sea feather at some point as their made here and look pretty solid but there's lots to spend cash on but not a lot of cash.

Looking at the clip has given me an idea, I may be able to use the tiller pilot pin, or extend it. I think a chain is a good way to make quick alterations on the go.

A drop-nose pin is what you need. Cut to length and epoxy into the tiller with the business end extending a suitable distance. Works well for my Windpilot.
