Alt +248 gives me ° as you say, it must be on the right hand numbers pad with numbers lock on.

I number my WP’s and group the numbers to areas, then put the number on the chart. This is a hangover from DECCA days, and I couldn’t be bothered to change the system. They are also kept on a paper list for quick reference.
