I'll have a guess...Harrisons of Liverpool?
Alright ... Smiths of Cardiff?
o.k give up.. who owns that block of flats? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Can someone tell me how the stability of these things work. With all that weight up top, and a decent breeze, why don't they capsize. It can't be iceberg principle, or draft would be too great, and even with lots of weight down low as possible, that's still a huge weight and windage to have so high?
Jeez 9 decks above weather, 3 below and then the machinery and tankage. Bet a run round the monkey island isn't for the feint hearted. Just read there are 15 passenger decks, not sure they're all stacked though
Saw QM2 Bergen and she made the dockside cranes look tiny
Wow, not sure I'd want to sail on her all the same. Anyone counted the mooring lines?
Jedda or Kingston they're still gonna get 'fleeced' !!!
Bet prices ashore shoot up 200% as soon as she gets alongside /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
I did the mini cruise on Pride of Rotterdam,a definite mini compared to this, but suppossedly one of the biggest ferries.
On the way back we where into a NW 7/8 we ate in the A la Carte restuarant, long stem wine glasses stacked everywhere, nothing lashed down. incredible, apart from a couple of thumps, (she must have pounded) nothing felt, and she was doing around 18 knots into it, as no delay getting back.
She has computerised stabilisers, I would hate to see the mess if they went down.
