The current Cruising Association magazine has updated their information about visiting Limehouse Marina, as in June they said it was no longer possible.

Visitor spaces are usually available, with limitations. Phone the marina office on 0207 308 9930 well before arrival and VHF Ch80 when you reach Limehouse.

Normally you will be on pontoon H close to the DLR railway and has 2m depth. There may also be space on the linear wall approaching pontoon H (no water or electricity) or a vacant resident berth.

This means we are back to 2 marinas yachts can use in London.

Excellent new regards Limehouse.
However .
For any Moboers trying to break the journey to Teddington....
Moored overnight at Chiswick Pier Trust last month after a couple of recommendations
Paid in advance. Ouch, but this is central London....
Visitor pontoon not available, been hired out to large tripboat for overnight mooring.
Only option to raft out on an old livaboard barge.
Ordered to clear off by owner of first barge we moored on and the next possible barge was virtually derelict with junk all over the decks and the only possible way of securing lines via the scuppers on the barge.
Almost impossible to get ashore and no power or water anywhere nearbye.
To add insult to injury a disturbed night with several speeding craft whizzing past.
Avoid.

Sorry, don't understand. You said "Moored overnight at Chiswick Pier" then said "Visitor pontoon not available....... avoid"

Oldgit, Understood what you said. Not great service if you get charged such a high amount and then have to moore against a manky old barge because the visitors mooring was hired out. Thanks for that advice.

Are you assuming that South Dock won't take visitors? On a recent visit (on foot) I was assured they can still take visitors. Seems that Southwark Council, who own the marina, granted permission for all berths to be used for liveaboards. However there are berths available and 'vistors are welcome'.
