The heads and bathrooms over by the boatyard in Marina Smir, Morocco are a tad agricultural.
Camaret facilities were pre-historic, just as you describe, in 2003, are they really no better 19 years on?
Portavadie on Loch Fyne has to have the most luxurious loos in a marina. Hair straighteners, even!Ramsgate - they’ve just refurbed the toilet and shower block for the outer marina. Scalding hot water in the showers, no temperature adjustment and a push button shower valve that lasts around 10 seconds at a time. It’s like a campsite in the 1980s.
The best I’ve ever seen are at Suffolk Yacht Harbour.
Camaret gets a thumbs down from us…we always manage to get into the inner Port Nortic but the facilities are pretty crap ..Camaret, the “ facilities“ close to the visitors berths are underneath the castle - it’s almost a dungeon with no natural light or ventilation.
The other set of facilities close the locals berths are not much better, but at least they have windows.
Even the Capitainiere was embarrassed, but it’s council run……..
We were there last week…We first went there in 2016 so can’t compare with 2003 - but to be honest they look like they haven’t been looked at since 1900.
Forgot about Portavadie despite having been there many times owing to the Scottish Series across the loch at Tarbert (facilities were more like the OP there, but I’ve been informed below they are now updated). Portavadie has got to be one of the fanciest marinas full stop. We always wondered how it came to be in such a remote place.Portavadie on Loch Fyne has to have the most luxurious loos in a marina. You do Tarbert a disservice. The new facility block, built about three years ago, is well up to standard.Forgot about Portavadie despite having been there many times owing to the Scottish Series across the loch at Tarbert (facilities more like the OP there). Ah apologies - Scottish Series obviously hasn’t been on for a bit due to covid and then this year’s occurrences. Have edited my post above. You do Tarbert a disservice. The new facility block, built about three years ago, is well up to standard.
I would go further and suggest that the facilities at ELT have now usurped Portavadies enviable status of having the best on The Clyde. You do Tarbert a disservice. The new facility block, built about three years ago, is well up to standard.
