Ramsgate - they’ve just refurbed the toilet and shower block for the outer marina. Scalding hot water in the showers, no temperature adjustment and a push button shower valve that lasts around 10 seconds at a time. It’s like a campsite in the 1980s. :D

The best I’ve ever seen are at Suffolk Yacht Harbour.
Portavadie on Loch Fyne has to have the most luxurious loos in a marina. Hair straighteners, even!

Camaret, the “ facilities“ close to the visitors berths are underneath the castle - it’s almost a dungeon with no natural light or ventilation.
The other set of facilities close the locals berths are not much better, but at least they have windows.
Even the Capitainiere was embarrassed, but it’s council run……..
Camaret gets a thumbs down from us…we always manage to get into the inner Port Nortic but the facilities are pretty crap ..

Having spent 5 weeks in N and S Brittany, I would say what you are describing in Douglas is par for the course for most of the places we have been, with a few exceptions ..especially the showers..that is how they are full stop

loo seats in most places, but not all, loo paper most of the time, showers definitely one temp and in 5-10 second bursts. Floors under water in a few places …

St Malo has new portacabins which compare to those shown , but those at a number of French locations seem poor, maybe they invest ine washing up facilities which always seem to feature prominently.

La Maddalena, between Corsica and Sardinia. A Swiss sailor came back from the showers saying ‘Don't go in there, you come out more dirty than you went in!’ This was 20 years ago, it may have improved.

Forgot about Portavadie despite having been there many times owing to the Scottish Series across the loch at Tarbert (facilities were more like the OP there, but I’ve been informed below they are now updated). Portavadie has got to be one of the fanciest marinas full stop. We always wondered how it came to be in such a remote place.

You do Tarbert a disservice. The new facility block, built about three years ago, is well up to standard.

In defence of Tarbert (Isle of Harris), their facilities are immaculate and very well maintained. I've never been to Tarbert (Loch Fyne), but am keen to avoid any inadvertent mis-identification! (y)

+1 for that

The public loo a bit further towards the town is much better, always found it clean and it even has a heated seat !

We shower on the boat if here, which is rarely for more than a night or two, it's a place to pass through IMHO
