Have a quest x 1500 ge … comes up with low power like it ruining out of battery ..
thing is all other plotters etc work ok .. new batteries and charger etc. ..
is it knackered ??

Fixed radio or was there a handheld version? I would suspect a corroded connection somewhere.

Yep, if for any reason the device is not getting the juice despite available on the cable, it will decide for itself at a point that it is starving

You might measure voltage at the radio connector and compare to the battery voltage. A drop would make drawing a new wire and cleaning all points feasible. Check positive and ground separately to find the weak wire and/or points

Some times you'll even be able to pull the new wire through by connecting it safely to the old one then pull carefully

Was a corroded connection deep behind the dash board ..
Thanks for you reply’s .. saved me buying a new radio and being back to Sq 1
