I have a Simrad CE33 Chartplotter. The NMEA out cable has a white Output cable, a brown Return and a Shield. I have used the white Output and the Shield to connect a Simrad IS15 Combi Head and a Clipper GPS Repeater in parallel, which are working fine. I am not using the brown cable. The IS15 manual wiring diagram shows NMEA inputs as A and B, but does not define them. What are these? Should I be using the brown Return cable or the Shield to complete the circuit?

Use the "brown"!

I have an IS15 system and a CP32 (previous model - without echo) and I am using the white and brown and all works fine.

Regards,

Jerry
