Entering Studland Bay on the last Bank Holiday, I saw a small white buoy with a fishing boat nearby. Assumed it was a badly marked lobster pot or similar so headed about 6 feet to side of it. As I approached I was shouted at by someone on the fishing boat about 'my diver'. Closer inspection revealed that the buoy was wandering around with bubbles.
No dive flags on boat, no flag on buoy. I asked where his dive flag was and he claimed he had 'forgotten it'..
He was probably picking up a lobster pot that had had its line chopped. I took a picture of his boat but there was no clear identification.
