shrimper trailer

Im looking at a shrimper but would need to move her from sth coast to Scotland. Anyone able to rent me a road trailer or have any bright ideas ?

I faced the same problem moving my 20' halfdecker, though not such a huge distance. Unable to find a suitable boar trailer I hired a twin axle car transporter trailer for a day - it was about 18' on the bed with a load rating about 2.5 tonne. Only about £30 for the day, which seemed like a bargain. Don't know if that sort of thing would help in your case - can't remember how big the Shrimper is.

Depends what you're using to tow with. A trailer with a GTW of 2.5 tons would be more than most vehicles other than bigger 4x4s could legally tow.
A Shrimper weighs 1065 Kgs (plus gear, and more if an inboard presumably)

Unfortunately the law relates to the stated plated Gross Weight of the trailer and not it's actual loaded weight. Bonkers.

This came up couple of weeks ago and someone suggested Indespension rented trailers. You might try looking for a Shrimpers website and ask there.
