I don't often complain but this experience was by far the worst marina experience we have ever had... We thought we are landing at a reputable marina where we can expect a decent service and facilities in return for the money we pay. Now; you guys please let me know if I am expecting too much, or have a point!

We arrived at 15:00 after a very long journey and after calling in to the marina office I had to wait for 15min in front of the administrator as the berth we were supposed to be given was still showing in their computer as full! believe me it was empty when we moored! anyway - that was dealt with and I asked where I can find a trolley! Guess what the response was " we are short on trolleys and only berth holders can have them!!!! but if you really need one, we may be able to find you one but that may take quite a while!!!!!" I don't remember anyone on a boat just comes to a marina with a handbag! so We ended up carrying 6 drybags full of clothes, lifejackets, water, food (total of over 40kg) on our own (only myself and my girlfriend) - That wasn't the end of it, the marina was sooooo dirty - dog poo everywhere, a deflated trolley just left on its own, overloaded bins just everywhere and at one point we were thinking to head back to Southampton as that place was utterly dirty....

Yes, you should complain and no, it doesn't have to be like that. Someone is not doing his job.

Can't use a trolley as a visitor??? Pah! Dog mess and overflowing bins? Think I'd have to say something too tbh. Thank goodness you're only visiting. Which marina? If that's how they keep the place then I'd like to know where not to head for.

It would help if we knew which marina. Some are horrible but the better known ones take much pride in creating a nice, safe environment for visitors to enjoy.

Personally, I would not be prepared to pay for berthing in a $hit hole like that. There are several H&S and due diligence responsibilities not being met in your photographic gallery.:disgust:

If you say nothing, they might think everything is fine and dandy. :ambivalence:

If that's part of your freedom berthing then definitely complain...In any event, that's not acceptable at all.

Brighton for sure, I was there a couple of weeks back.

The place is a nightmare for a contractor, yes there are never any trollies as boat owners cannot be bothered to take them back to the trolley park at the bridgeheads. It's such a long walk for dogs they **** themselves before they get out the pontoons.

Seriously that's not a very good advert for premier, I could add some facts about my latest experience of my location but I will save it for now, let's just say it's not what I had expected from Premier.

if they do they are probally hanging their heads in shame.

I would be if I were anything to do with with the group and more to the point...I'd get it fixed ASAP and be offering some kind of concession for the berth holders by way of an apology.

Im not sure what your point is, but the sign says 'Premier Marinas' on it.

I wasnt casting aspersions, I was stating a fact. I just dont know WHICH premier marina it is.

didnt notice that. but not all premiers marinas are like that, however this last couple of weeks we have had
3 or 4 brighton berth holders move to eastbourne, may be this is why?
