I don't often complain but this experience was by far the worst marina experience we have ever had... We thought we are landing at a reputable marina where we can expect a decent service and facilities in return for the money we pay. Now; you guys please let me know if I am expecting too much, or have a point!
We arrived at 15:00 after a very long journey and after calling in to the marina office I had to wait for 15min in front of the administrator as the berth we were supposed to be given was still showing in their computer as full! believe me it was empty when we moored! anyway - that was dealt with and I asked where I can find a trolley! Guess what the response was " we are short on trolleys and only berth holders can have them!!!! but if you really need one, we may be able to find you one but that may take quite a while!!!!!" I don't remember anyone on a boat just comes to a marina with a handbag! so We ended up carrying 6 drybags full of clothes, lifejackets, water, food (total of over 40kg) on our own (only myself and my girlfriend) - That wasn't the end of it, the marina was sooooo dirty - dog poo everywhere, a deflated trolley just left on its own, overloaded bins just everywhere and at one point we were thinking to head back to Southampton as that place was utterly dirty....
