Rig measurements \'I\', \'J\', \'P\' etc etc

Can someone please help me with rig measurements - what distances are defined by 'I','J','P' and 'E' (and any others?). Had it written down somewhere but blowed if I can find it......

Can I add another question, why are they given these letters? Do they stand for anything?

I bookmarked this page which should help a bit. Go back to the home page and you may get the rest of the measurements.

You will find the correct and acurate dimensions quoted

Here

They are defined in the rule book.

IOR measurements for 'standard rig', defined as follows:

I = Height of mast above deck
J = Distance from the front of the mast to the base of the forestay
P = Distance from the tack of the mainsail to the top of the headboard
E = Distance from the back of the mast to the clew of the mainsail
