Anyone want to design a folding sailing dinghy with me?

Nice lines, and apparently takes chop better than more load-bearing tender stylee designs, but it doesn't seem to be a folder

Thinking more a light, cheap, boat that could be trolleyed on its side, than a much more complex folder or inflatable.

Of course if you want to go ultra minimalist - you can get a pack raft. Even decathlon are selling one. Two! Kg’s all up - including bag, seat and pump.

Easy to do the 1 mile walk thing then paddle. designed to go in a bike saddle bag then the bike go on the ‘raft

That would fill the 'dont really want to leave the dinghy here unguarded' niche (surely not that unusual in these troubled times) that I was thinking of filling with a 15 quid beach toy.

Last time I looked at packrafts they were pretty niche and >£1000. Now that decathlon sell them though…

I watched a film at an adventure film festival a few years back about some folk cycling the length of the outer Hebrides and paddling between islands on some pack rafts.

West Mersea Duck Punt, IIRC. More a canoe than a dinghy. Think its already been mentioned up-thread. Not much freeboard though...
