Fantastic long weekend.
80km to Maasmechlen and 80km back, boat ran faultless, even handled the waves off a speed boat and waterskier with reasonable aplomb, but those ski boat drivers have a screw loose, barrelling down on our boat from behind and swamping a few canoeists coming the other way, absolute nutters.
Proper report later when I gather my thoughts.

And here endeth the sojourn with Casper, today Casper was sold to a new keeper in Belgium.

We had a last short cruise in her with the new owners, they are stepping up from a small rubber boat to take over, sad but relieved that she is now under new management, and we can concentrate on Hunter.
Well, congratulations on the sale, and you had some great adventures in that boat; these experiences led you to your next boat!

It was a great learning experience, and lots of hands on work got done, some things were left to do and the new owner knows that, he already has marked out plans on what he wants to do, he is a carpenter doing finishing work on custom installations.
The new owners are sleeping over on Casper tonight, nice couple and a pleasure to hand over Casper to their custody.
We went on a 2 hour sail with them to show them what the systems are etc. and to get used to the handling, mind you he did hand back the wheel when it came to docking in the tight spot we have for Casper, they are keeping the boat at our marina until they can get a new berth nearer their home town of Ghent.
