Outboars and antifouling

I have an outboard in a well on my hurley which within a month of removing all the barnicales is again covered in them. Is it save/ wise/ not a good idea.
ur suggestions would greately be apreciated

Can you not tilt the engine up, or just remove it when not in use? I think there is aerosol antifouling available for O/Bs, or you could use ordinary stuff as long as it didn't contain copper.

its in a well so cannot be tilted forwards, and also has inboard throttle controls so cannot easily be lifted out, but thanks for the suggestions

I got this link and information for outboard anti-fouling, from a USA website, but it should be a guide to what you could get to go on the outboard.
