Happy1, I was just looking at some old threads on Antifouling choice and I saw that in April you were going to use Interspeed Ultra and some clear stuff for the leg. Before I go splashing out this week on expensive tins, just wondered if you could update us on how your choice was performing. And did you a/foul the leg and prop as well?

Thanks,
Matthew

Well, Errr Ummm, you know my dealer, well after I had researched Antifoul and come up with Interspeed Ultra, requested that was put on, received written confirmation they would, well they put on Blakes Antifoul!!! Anyway it has kept everything off, and looks OK. The clear stuff on the leg, that is brilliant, the only place the growth is starting is in the edge around the SX leg badge on the top of the leg, but I can reach that to get it off. It comes in a spray can and one can must do loads, mine had two coats and only used a third of a can. If you want the name I will dig out th ecan and let you know, but I am sure in my completeness I would have named it on here somewhere. As for the Blakes, I don't know which one it was, but it is the off white colour.

Thank you for using the Happy research centre /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Bloomin dealers, eh.....!!!! Still think I'll go for the Interspeed, unless anyone on here tells me otherwise.

According to your earlier posting you used Polymarine Crystal Clear on the leg. I was looking at VC Prop-O-Drev from International but they don't do in Clear - the other option was clear Veridian but that's not a spray job.

Oh decisions, decisions...

Did you do the prop as well?

Matt

I have a Stainless steel prop, and didn't anti-foul that, it is as shiny as the day it was put on, I guess frequent use helps keep it clean /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Re the clear stuff it is blinking expensive, but it does look nice seeing a clean leg , and must reduce some drag /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
