Greece to Turkey

Are there any restrictions on sailing a Greek registered yacht into & out of Turkish ports ? Thinking of a charter out of Rhodes early May.

i was always told we could not go from one to the the other by the charters i used but was not sure if this was company policy or if the boat would be impounded as they threatened
did not have the time to check it out while we were there and never chased it up when we were back
i would check with whoever you inted to charter from

Ask your charter company for news of the latest developments. It was all supposed to change in August last year but I have heard that some local officials still go after you for Transit Log money at around $US30 and Entry Visas charged dependant upon where you call home. (Swiss, Israeli and South African nationals amongst others pay nothing but we get charged $10. Canadians for some reason rate $35!)

In practice a lot of charterers get away with it and pay nothing but a confiscated Beneteau or Bavaria will make a mess of your security deposit!
