If you build up a twin system using single filters and valves it works out at half the price if you do the installation yourself. The typical installation that is shown in the technical library section of the ASAP site has all the details. It's not rocket science.

Thanks for all the advice. I will probably go for the Racor Dual Turbine setup complete with vacuum gauge. As I said already, very pricey but has the advantages of being very compact, less likely to leak, and above all the ability to drop in a filter without having to bleed the system.
Another question, on my previous boat, the return line was led directly back to the diesel tank, whereas this one appears to be led back to the fuel filter - is there any reason not to lead it directly back to the tank?
