There are those who like having a boat, and those who love boating.
Some have a boat to impress, entertain, and use up spare cash. Others have a boat to they can barely afford but they will enjoy and use as much as possible, not giving a damn what others think.
Some use their boats when not working, golfing, skiing, jetting to the sun, etc. Others would live on their boat if only the minutiae of earning a living did not prevent it.
Some Forumites keep using cars as examples. May I ask? If the road price of fuel goes up, who is affected most: The chap who runs, and can easily afford, a new jaguar, or the guy who struggles to run, but relies on, a 20 year old ford escort.
