Extra 'moveable' solar panel capability.

I reckon that reports of small shadows are exaggerated but I've never had roving panels - I prefer fit and forget like Caribbean liveaboards.
I did wonder if, on the video above, the shadow of the line holding up the panels would have a significant effect. Previous reads suggest that just a thin shadow across the panel could be an issue?

I started the recent thread about guard wire mounted panels and here’s the result, I’ve been using it on my summer cruise to the West Country. Panels held to guard wire with little carabiners, legs ( made from broom handle) bolted to frame and notched to go on lower wire to adjust angle and old sail tie to attach to other parts of the boat. It’s 100W panel with mppt controller and 6.1amps is the best I’ve seen, pretty happy with my £200 investment, all from midsummer energy https://midsummerenergy.co.uk/

Nice simple setup but judging by the shadows you'd get more power with longer struts.
