Hi yes, I have been on a boat for over 3 days. Met the previous owner, he showed me around a bit. We tried out all the systems. They are immaculate, have a lot of air to breathe, as the owner put them with safety in mind with a degree of redundancy, not concerned about enabling every bit of the boat to be used to place storage lockers. There are also spare impellers, belts, filters, fuses and a raw water pump.

The engine starts up in under a second (after preheat). There are 110litres of diesel on board (might be more on it's way) and a 4 cylinder vintage engine. Fuel tank is just 50gal as nobody cared to properly measure it.

There are 4 metal tether points in the cockpit. A line could be laid to create a running tethering point

So far there's no crew between Anglesey and Milford Haven and only one crew from MH to Falmouth. I might have to sail singlehanded if nobody comes forward.

Going to the boat tomorrow again to stock up.

Yep, sailing out on the 13th. Need a fairly quick passage to Falmouth. Crew wanted especially between Anglesey and Milford Haven, less important between Milford Haven and Falmouth.

so....

are any of the doubting thomases who posted about trolls and wind ups prepared to step forward and apologise now that you have seen pictures of the boat and know where it is?

I think it would be the decent thing to do

some of you gave this bloke and those of us who took him seriously quite a ragging

Weather looks no problem except for not much wind, would jump at the chance if I was not committed during that time - should be a nice trip.

Trickiest part will be going down the river Douglas:encouragement:

I hope not - round the corner into Milford Haven might be tricky if he's on his own. Three Forumites (incl myself) have offered to help and are talking to each other; but as Stan says there's a gap for the Holyhead to Milford Haven leg. By then we should have ironed out any obvious difficulties with the boat - I'm helping from Hesketh Bank to HH - and currently the weather looks benign. Is anyone up for helping him, on that leg HH to MH in particular, or any of the legs in general?

I know this may sound daft to some but after looking at those pics, how do you get inside it? The inside looks great but the cockpit area is just confusing.

One takes a big swing on a halyard and flies straight into V-berth.

Alternatively let a really small person in first, who opens front or aft cabin hatches that are big enough for a man to jump in.

Ok, I'm gonna look for the right photo..

And there it is:

Me. I was convinced this was a very nicely done wind up and apologise to the OP. Good luck to him and the trip.
