I am interested in buying an Etap 21i with the winged tandem keel. It is a great boat and just what I am looking for, but I have a drying mooring on the west coast of Pembrokeshire and am wondering how she would fare grounding out in rough conditions (with her sea legs down for want of a description) which we occasionally get during the season? My worry is that as she was approaching grounding depth, if she was hit by a gust and swell that the leg would hit first and damage the hull.
We have a fore and aft mooring system with two bow and two stern moorings but this does not stop the boats swinging as the tide gets lower.
Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on this issue?
Many thanks
