The lever on my engine cooling water seacock has corroded and fell of. The valve / filter and body is in excellent condition .... but the shaft hole in the lever just fell apart.

The shaft is now turned by a 6mm open ended spanner - which I keep next to the engine starter button.

Anyone know where to get a new lever ??

Its a low profile ball valve with side lever ... with water strainer body with top cap holding filter in. Engine pipe connected to side of water strainer body.

A PBO would simply take a little bit of stainless flat bar, apply a drill and a file.....

I did think of that ... in fact I acquired a handle of another valve to modify .... but the handle needs a hub to stand it off from the case body ....

I tried washers / stand-offs ...... but the handle was too loose.

I am going to try it again ... see what I can do with it ... then try find the weird thread nut !!!!

I replaced my levers with stainless ones many years ago but can't find out where from but a quich search revealed......

Replacement Ball Valve Handle and many other sites although some of the prices suggest in the long run it will be cheaper to replace the whole valve

That last DZR ones I bought from ASAP Supplies came with stainless handles
