Hi,
How can we moan about the content of these films, In reality their free to watch, and inspire many people to sail. Lets face it, its sailing in a most simplistic Method, No Bells Or whistles. The editing and research im sure possibly takes longer than the sailing. If He tried to make a buck from Google, good on him. In reality has anyone seen any filming to match what is in the main a very entertaining and amusing series of films. As for Westerly Centaurs, its boosted sales.

Not got a strong enough wifi signal to watch vids today unfortunately, but I'm interpreting that Dylan's latest may be in some way have been insulting to Bonny Prince Charlie? So why are the Jocks getting upset? BPC was French or was it Italian, not a Scot.

All the cringeworthy renditions of the song were quite upsetting to those of weak constitution or who had just eaten kippers for supper like I had.

that aside - deepest apologies to those who are offended by what the kids call a mash up

interestingly it is unavailable in the states because it is blocked by the Beverly sisters

Could you not start a new website/account etc for the trucks and start afresh. Or maybe you could licence the films exclusively to Mrs KTL who would start her own site etc.
One thing is for sure - if it was me I wouldn't leave them on youtube for the bar stewards to make money from

One door closes and another opens

I found it well researched and entertaining; thank you for introducing me to this, I will subscribe.

(then again I am a Campbell, and thus on every McDonald's hit list already)

Oh, poor man! I take it you've not been to the Clachaig Inn then?

No publicity is bad publicity.
Op has rekindled my interest in KTL.
Also I now have a view on the bonny prince that I will use to discuss with Scots lad staying here. It will be very different to the "true" version told in Scottish schools. I will convert him !

Hahaha- i'm not stupid, I'm a Campbell by descent not by surname, so I don't advertise the fact! My father was always at pains (I wonder why?!) to point out we were Breadalbane Campbells not Argyll Campbells. I'm actually married to a McDonald!

Funny how we don't visit the sins of the fathers on the sons when it comes to 75 year old massacre of 6 million people but do just that for an event that occurred over 300 year ago. Who said the Scot's don't bear a grudge!

What version is that the Bolshovic uprising, Tudor England, the Industrial Reveloution, Scottish History is not taught in Scottish schools. The topics I mention have all been taught to my daughter who attends an Edinburgh secondary school. When I attended school, late 1970's it was much the same stuff and certainly no Scottish History. It is no wonder that such romantic versions of Scottish history prevail.

Some might. Not my Granny MacDonald of Skye. "Och," she used to say "these fools, fighting old battles - their memories are too long..." She would have no truck with it all.

Anyway, didn't the Campbells' piper play a lament on the night before the massacre at Glencoe, trying to warn them........? That's what I heard.

You were there??

:)

'Course I was. We Skye MacDonalds had to help the Glencoe branch if we could. But I went home for one of granny's epic breakfasts before it all kicked off. I hummed the tune to old MacCrimmon of Barra, who happened to be visiting with the MacNeill in his spiffy new birlinn, and he said that was what it was, anyway.

I told you I was an old hand......... ;)
