Ten years and a thousand hours up, so a good time to reflect on what a great boat the P57 has been. Other than the flybridge layout, which I modified when we first bought it (at 2 years, 200 hours), it has been the perfect family boat for us. A few of the proprietary parts have needed changing just because they've worn out, but nothing of any significance has actually broken. It has a few small knocks in the cabinetry from having two young kids on board, and some minor crazing around a couple of the deck fittings, but otherwise it scrubs up like new, and with Princess' timeless styling it doesn't look dated inside or out. It has taken us around the med on lots of holidays, from Marseille to Rome, and spent probably two hundred nights at anchor. We have no plans to change her.

Top marks also to Volvo Penta on the D12's, which have hardly missed a beat in that time with nothing more than regular servicing.

Of course after writing this, the engines will now seize and the hull will split down the middle on the next small wave!

You could never ever sell her...too many hours and supposedly worn out engines that will put potential buyers off.

Nice to see a boat that's been used for what is was designed for..

Great stuff, Nick, how about some pics? Agree that Princess always seem to get it right with their flybridge designs

Congratulations (I think)
We are not far behind and 1000 hrs seems to be a time when valve clearances etc need doing.
Not that I'm put off but I'm expecting a bigger service when we get there - hopefully a few years away.

A worthy celebration indeed -both Hrs and ownership time .
We have been in a similar dilemma since our boat arrived in 2005 in La Nap - looked at many / attended boat shows etc
But at the end of the day present boat and home birth combo - works for us -
