Dredger hits Hythe pier

Small piece in this morning's Sunday Times saying dredger hit Hythe pier last night leaving a 50' gap in it.

Any more info on this as we are great fans of the pier and it is a major landmark for us?

Are you sure it was a dredger,only Brooms look a bit similer and its easy to get em mixed up./forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
