Cheap Outboard

I am after a trusty seagull outboard or a similiar cheap outboard for my dear Caprice after a full five year resortration. Hopefully not to far from East Coast , an ofers ?

Have a look at the boat jumble sales around the country. They have a website........boatjumble.......or something, your search engine will find it. I found an excellent spare Seagull engine a few months ago at one of them. Happy hunting.

Arguably no such thing as 'trusty Seagull' . Ok they are dirt cheep - dont pay more than around £75 - £100. But ask yourself why. Put a little more of the old hard earned into it and get an engine that doesnt spew oil like a ruptured supertanker - and preserve your hearing!

I've got a 4hp mariner in the garage, needs a coat of Hammerite on the leg but otherwise reliable, send me a pm, l got a new one for crimbo. so no longer required. East Coast based. Phil

Yep! Smelly, noisy, ugly, expensive to run, but starts first time and very handy as a spare in emergency. My main engine is a Honda..........Very quiet.
