Should not have any problems because it is being sold by HMG and will come with a clean Bill of Sale giving clear title. The survey report indicates lots of work needed, plus it has a criminal history, which can only lead to trouble when clearing customs & irritation everywhere you go.
Good luck with that if you ever venture into US waters; they never forget a thing, even if there is a tenious connectionShould not have any problems because it is being sold by HMG and will come with a clean Bill of Sale giving clear title.
Indeed. I know someone who had a single conviction for possession of marijuana when he was 20. Now, in his late 30s, he wanted to go to the US on business. Nope, banned for life. If I'm not mistaken, that conviction couldn't be given as previous if he were charged with something in the UK now.Good luck with that if you ever venture into US waters; they never forget a thing, even if there is a tenious connection
No thanks. I really don’t want to own a 50 footer at any price. A 34 ft eats quite enough money, thanks.
A nice one could be had for about £80k.Biggest item in the survey is probably replacement teak decks. Lots of other items too though, and much of the gear is outdated. Wonder how much it’s worth in good nick? £150k? If you can afford to fix and upgrade it you also need to be able to afford to moor it etc. Approach with caution!

So, what difference does it make? A boat is an inanimate object, not a person and does not have a "criminal record".Good luck with that if you ever venture into US waters; they never forget a thing, even if there is a tenious connection
Best you ask the US customs and immigration thatSo, what difference does it make? A boat is an inanimate object, not a person and does not have a "criminal record".
True, but it can still excite a sniffer dogSo, what difference does it make? A boat is an inanimate object, not a person and does not have a "criminal record".
