I note that as well as 40 named contributors there are over thirty anonymous lurkers!

Now, quite few of these will feel that they cannot post because
a) they have no boat
b) they don't know anybody
c) they are crap at writing

However, none of these reasons have stopped Learner from contributing, for example, and where would we be without him? Okay, probably not a good example BUT ANYWAY. Why not register? and then make post newbieishly about your new/ancient/knackered/dream boat? After all, dgm registered recently, and we helped him choose a name for his new boat. Hopefully he is having a rethink and won't be calling it "Relaxo" which very laxative ish. Relaxo! Jeez! Ahem.

Anyway, special unofficial deal for christmas: The first ten new posters on MBC get specially nice treatment (from me anyway) EVEN if their first post uses the phrases:

"you lot talk such crap"
or
"what a bunch of timewasters"
or
"how about talking about boats for a change"
or
"i bet none of you have got a boat at all"

Is that age or period of membership (so to speak) , if the latter then I'll never qualify. I do think it is in bad taste to imply that there are Forumites who are dirty old men in raincoats, though.
