A big Hi! to the lurkers

I used to be a Lurker before I was outed and now its OK . I feel accepted into forum society.
Its much more fun having my own picture (Thanks B1) and I now feel free to talk about my previous lurking habbits without fear of retribution or riddicule.
Yes I have been sneeked on, scolded and laughed at but this is nothing compared to the release and freedom of being able to disclose my foruming in today's more accepting society.

Nick (Real name changed)

My boat is here in time for winter....

Robinwdunham\'s real name?

Hi robinwdunham!

Now. In the past the forum has gotten into real problems wiv assumig that they knew the names from the "handle" . For example "lanason" is not actually called Ian cos the first letter is an L, not an I, and is really called "Sandra".

So, I'll be very careful NOT to offend and refer to your by your proper name which might be R.Otis Bin Wdunham. I'm guessing that you're known as Otis

Anyway, Otis (er it can't be Robin cannit?....) tellus more about your boaty dream/bad experiences/moneywasting nightmare.

I cant ever remember ever being a lurker. Dont think we had them then. Just jumped in . Both feet. I am regretting it now!!

Haydn, you, like me, have always been shy and retiring.
Some Lurkers amaze me. There's one here who was a main board Director of a household name international company, has recently been made M.D. of a large U.S. organisation, in the flesh has a point of view on everything, on the piss is a hoot, yet here just reads the postings and never replies on the grounds of "I can't think of anything to say"

Hi again! well tcm, you may be surprised to know that OTIS is not my reaL name but it is as good as it gets, so OK for now. If you are really interested, I run an old Princess 41 out of the South coast and enjoy the south coast of England and that of france. I have been boating for 45 years plus both sail, until recently, and now Power cruising for the last 6 years. I enjoy the forum but feel that I have little to contribute to it as (I have a wierd sense of humour) or perhaps I do? given some of the replies I read. I guess that the truth is that I am just shy. Having nearly "come out" I shall waste none of your precious time further. kind regards!

Rob (Otis)

Oi! come back otis

45 years boating sounds a shed load of experince. We could use that. Or, of course, most around here will set fire to the shed.

Anyway, for a weird sense of humour, what's the difference betwen a beetroot and raquel welch? Well, one is a vegatable that you can make wine with, the other is a woman with bit ti*s! This is very funny when u r drunk, in an irish accent.

Re: nice one TCM

"OTIS" (for your lift in life)!
